In 2007 I went to Calgary, Canada for 3 weeks for some lessons and also camping and other fun stuff.
I'd like to show you my diary or journal which I wrote, but keep in mind I was only 17 year old youngster, so my writing was really succinct, and my vocabulary was not as extensive.
However I want to share it, because I think it was funny.
The organisation was called Wynchemna, for international students who wanted some adventure, and English lessons too.
Day 2:
I woke up at 5:30am. Then my room-mate Peter went out for jogging. I couldn't manage to sleep, therefore I lay awake in the bed. After the breakfast we went to the library to write some exam. In the afternoon we got on the bus and went to play the beach volleyball. The sand was pretty hot, and I was very exhausted. Then we went climbing, which was fun. We had waited for our couch very long time. Then we went to Olympic oval for skating. At that time I was going to hit the hay, like Peter said.
Frankly I wasn't overwhelmed with joy. That's the whole show.
Day 3:
Today we had 3 lessons. It was our first so it was quite boring, especially when you have already experienced the English lessons...
For some reason we had lunch in our classroom-kitchen. We had sausages, it was the worst and I didn't fill my stomach. In the afternoon we went *I cannot decipher the first word. lol* and baseball. (I don't like it both.) And finally soccer. (I don't like it as well)
So I was hungry all day long, until the dinner which was at 8:30PM, so that was quite a relief.
And all day I felt the bloody nausea!
Day 4:
Lessons are the same: First good, the second is the best. The third was very dull. After lunch, which was good, but the drinks were disgusting. (some root beer shit.)
Then we went to Aquapark, the bus driver was the best guy, his name was Matthew, The Aquapark was awesome. Then the fucking bowling... I wasn't aware that this is really bowling, the bawling balls were so small! Afterwards we went for a coffee and then the party at Pachin's. (a Mexican dude)
Day 5:
The day was very boring. The lessons 1 and 2 were good. The lunch was at the shopping centre, I had some pizza. After lunch we had some free time for shopping, only for 1 hour! Then we bought some stuff for the international supper.
I hate cooking so I was quite bored, using a nail file for my nails, while the czech girl Eva made some sneering remarks. Anyway, I tried some Mexican chilli pepper, it was very hot and spicy.
Day 6:
This day wasn't significant, just another tricky day. We went canoeing with bus driver Craig. I didn't play the football. Then we headed for the seafood restaurant - there weren't any vacant seats for all of us. It was outrageous.
Day 7:
The day without lessons, so that's cool. However we had to get up at 7 O'clock. We went to Stampede and it was great, it's like a big amusement park, sort of. Max had won over 20 stuffed animals, or whatever it was. The Taiwanese guy Kurt got lost in the area of the Stampede. And was found long time after the scheduled time of meeting, The Stampede was so big that I couldn't find anyone from Wynchemna which pissed me off.
Day 8:
We went to the shopping mall, where I bought iPod. We had a short time there to buy things.
Then we went to the cinema - Sounds good, sounds great, like our teacher Craig always said.
I watched the movie Rattatouile, really good stuff. It was Phat!!
good good good, he concluded..
Anyway, that's about it, it's not complete, but you get the idea..
I just projected my random thoughts and reassessment of those days, I didn't include all days, and besides I have written a full story about my time in Canada, which I will post perhaps later on, this was just to show you how I made my diary, which was a requirement for us to do.
Thank you for reading.
More blog posts will be coming soon.
